Description

The 915 Up↕Down Converter offers the unique option to convert a standard 2.4GHz WiFi signal to 915MHz and then back up to 2.4GHz again, in addition it also provides amplification. Since 2.4GHz is dramatically affected by non-line of sight issues like foliage it's basically considered a line of sight application. By converting to 915MHz you gain the benefit of NLOS performance while maintaining the increased throughput potential of 802.11b or 802.11g rates.

The 915 Up↕Down Converter can also be added to your existing WLAN system, allowing wireless network capability to areas that were previously unreachable by 2.4GHz WLAN such as wooded neighborhoods and commercial structures.

Application Note:
We recommend that antennas be horizontally polarized for best performance of stationary 900MHz wireless systems. We offer a 9dBi Horizontally Polarized 900MHz Omni Directional Antenna for this purpose.

Due to the potential for interference in the 900Mhz band from high powered paging and cellular services we highly recommend a proper site survey be performed prior to making the decision to move forward with a 900MHz project. We do offer stock and custom filter solutions to assist with interference issues. Please carefully review your RF environment for possible in band and out of band interference before considering installation of any 900MHz product.
